I am currently pursuing an MA by Dissertation in Sociology at the University of the Witwatersrand, I did my BA in Sociology and Politics and an Honours in Labour, Economic and Development Sociology with the same institution, My research focuses on how women in Lephalale navigate caregiving amidst unemployment, environmental degradation, water scarcity, and collapsing infrastructure. Having grown up in a mining town and a child-headed household, I bring a lived understanding of care as both a burden and a vital survival strategy.
